We are delighted to offer a wide array of social recreational programs to our young adults. Our programs are designed to help our participants develop social and independent living skills. In this age group, we provide more events and activities in community settings.
Anchorless Productions, a theater company for young adults with disabilities, will be leading our teens and adults in the production of The Jungle Book. Rehearsal is once a week and the play will be in March.
This style of yoga is gentle and includes relaxation and strength techniques that helps with flexibility and balance.
Beginners art class will introduce our participants to painting using different mediums on canvas. They will learn new brush strokes and how to mix colors. Recommended for all art lovers.
MANHATTAN BEACH YOUTH BASKETBALL
Our participants learn the rules of basketball, develop shooting techniques, and work on their gross motor skills.
We go to Gable House Bowl for an hour and a half of bowling fun!
A new adventure one Sunday every month featuring activities ranging from bowling, ice skating, L.A. Zoo, Long Beach Aquarium and so much more.
Dinner With Friends
A monthly dinner at a local restaurant where participants can work on their independent living skills, communication, and socialization.
Bridges: Bingo & Game Night
Three times a month our young adults have an opportunity to give back and build friendships with seniors in our community by playing bingo, games and eating dinner together.
Camp Conrad Retreat
Watch a movie under the stars, spend a day at the pool, and hike through the beautiful trees at this Big Bear Retreat.
Break a sweat through circuits, sports, aerobics and more once a week. This program focuses on improving fitness levels and healthy living skills.
We celebrate birthdays of the month with all our friends with arcade games, pizza and cake.
We take public transportation to cheer for our local professional sports teams throughout the year.
Adult Movie Night
Enjoy pizza, popcorn, and refreshments while watching a movie with peers at the Friendship Foundation headquarters.
