We are delighted to offer a wide variety of social recreational programs to your teen. Following our one to one model, your child will be paired with a student volunteer to engage in fun and exploratory activities that will provide an opportunity for socialization and development of independent living skills.
Anchorless Productions, a theater company for young adults with disabilities, will be leading our teens and adults in the production of The Jungle Book. Rehearsal is once a week and the play will be in March.
This style of yoga is gentle and includes relaxation and strength techniques that helps with flexibility and balance.
Beginners art class will introduce our participants to painting using different mediums on canvas. They will learn new brush strokes and how to mix colors. Recommended for all art lovers.
Movie Night #2
Enjoy pizza, popcorn, and refreshments while watching a movie with peers at the Friendship Foundation headquarters.
Offered once a month, soccer stars from the L.A. Galaxy teach our participants and volunteers basic soccer skills.
Participants learn how to keep rhythm and beat, test out different musical instruments and learn new songs.
Manhattan Beach Youth Basketball
Our participants learn the rules of basketball, develop shooting techniques, and work on their gross motor skills.
We take public transportation to cheer for our local professional sports teams throughout the year.
We celebrate birthdays of the month with all our friends with arcade games, pizza and cake.
A new adventure one Sunday every month featuring activities ranging from bowling, ice skating, L.A. Zoo, Long Beach Aquarium and so much more.
